Bible Study Groups

Bible Study Groups at the Cathedral

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

The regular reading and study of the Bible is important for the disciple of Jesus. At the Cathedral we offer a variety of Bible studies group that allow people to grow together as they study God’s word in community. These study groups meet regularly (in person) during the school term. They meet on Sundays and on some week days or evenings. Some have special purposes, e.g. Chinese language, for those with ESL or for women only.

Cathedral Bible study groups are provided mainly for the benefit of those who attend Cathedral services regularly, either on Sundays or midweek.

The ordinary gateway into these groups is by speaking to a minister or group leader, as you attend church, or by referral from an existing member to one of these leaders. Sometimes it will be best to wait until a new term or study series begins.

‘I’m new here’

If you’re new to the Cathedral first of all, ‘Welcome!’ We hope you find our community warm and inviting.

Second, throughout the year we offer courses to those who are beginning their journey or perhaps re-exploring Christianity. If that is you, we’d love to invite you to one of our Simply Christianity courses. If you’d like details as to when the next course will be offered please email: Cathedral info: cathedral@sydney.anglican.asn.au
